The Pet Button
As far back as I can remember, I have always had a special place in my heart for all animals. My heart goes out to those that have been abandoned, neglected and homeless. The dog you saw on the main page of my site is my Sydney. He came to me at 6 months of age. He was scared and fearful of everything. It was obvious that he had been abused and neglected. As the months passed and there was very little hope of finding Sydney a new family, it became clear that Sydney was going to be mine forever. Sydney has overcome his fear of life. He is happy, gives hugs and loves to play frisbee.
As a pet owner, I understand the special needs you and your pets may have when it comes to buying or selling a home. I assure you that you and your pets are my first concern. I hope you enjoy the "Pet Button." As always, if I may be of any assistance to you or your family, please do not hesitate to contact me.
APRIL 2011 FEATURED PETS
JAYNE AND JAYNA – We are two adorable princess Chihuahua’s that escaped our home, roamed the streets of Anchorage and then couldn’t find our way home. Anchorage Animal Control found us and we were put into rescue. We are looking for someone to love us together. We don’t do well with small children though. We are two years old, very sweet, kennel trained, bonded, love lap time and will dance and prance for you if you give us our lifetime home. For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Dogs.htm
LOLLI AND LAYRD – Animal Control was a bit scary for us…we needed to be rescued. We were taken to Animal Control because our family could not afford us anymore. About us: Lollie- I am a chocolate and tan, chubby girl who is five years old. Layrd- I am a black and gray faced boy who is about seven years old. We are both Chihuahua’s. We are very people friendly, but not with young children. We adore lap time and snuggles and are fairly bonded to each other. We are cute and comical, kennel trained, sweet natured with happy little souls and are very sweet. We would really like a home together. We are small, so we don’t take up much room, but we will fill your heart with joy. For more info please visit http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Dogs.htm
NUGGETT – I am a short hair tabby and white male kitty rescued from Nome. I am very playful and my nickname is Captain Chaos around my foster home. I love to play with the other cats. I would be best suited as an indoor/outdoor cat or for someone who has a barn and a good mouser. I am loving and extremely playful. I’m good with large dogs, too. For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Cats.htm
CASEY – I am six year old medium hair torti/tabby mix with lots of red. I was rescued from Animal Control over a year ago. My owner gave me up due to allergies. I think it’s about time I had a home of my own. Since I get along with other cats, I’d love to have my own home with at least one other cat. Young children would not be good for me. I like to cuddle and sit in your lap or sleep next to you. Sometimes I’ll sleep on your legs to keep you from leaving me. I like attention, a lot! I haven’t been around dogs much lately, but I am ok with them. I don’t like to have my claws cut and am not into lengthy brushing sessions, so I will need to be brushed often. Won’t you find it in your heart to five a middle aged lady a home? For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Cats.htm
MARCH 2011 FEATURED PETS
DAEL* - Finally I am off medical status. I have had my leg surgery and am ready for adoption. I took my time recovering but eventually decided walking on four legs was easier then three. I am about three years old now, fair to good house manners, sweet natured, somewhat barky, happy and easy-going, adores lap-time, kennel trained, adult home or home with older dog-friendly children, loves outside, anytime being near my human is a good time to for me. I am also friendly and gentle. For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Dogs.htm
BLAKELY - "A huntin' I will go...A huntin' I will go...Hi-Ho the merry-o...A huntin' I will go." I am a huntin' for my new, loving and caring family...Are you my mother (or father)? I am a handsome, busy, two year old Chihuahua...who found himself at Animal Control because I "did not do well in a daycare". Okay, I admit I am a bit bossy...but who wouldn't be if you had to tolerate a bunch of kids in daycare...yikes. I am fun-loving, play well with others (but can be a bit scrappy at times...a little control issue), kennel trained, fair house manners, not too barky, good natured...if you have an available lap I am there, spunky, dapper, always ready for whatever you want to do (watch TV, go for rides, take walks, play...you name it, we can do it together), confident and rather comical. As you can guess, an adult home or home with older children would be my requirement...no small children. Another play buddy would be grand too! I know I will capture your heart if you meet me. I will be a devoted little partner who will let you know you are the bestest ever and prove daily that I am ecstatic to spend time with you. Let me trap your heart and help me end my "huntin' trip" for that special someone. I am stalking the woods of life searching for you...are you there? EVELYN - is a DSH tabby cat approximately 9 years of age. Her previous owners moved out of the apartment and left Evelyn to fend for herself until she was found by the landlord who promptly dropped her off at Anchorage Animal Control. She tolerates the cats she lives with, but would do well in a home as an only child or perhaps one other cat. This roly poly gal needs some stability in her life, someone willing to make a place for her in their home for the rest of her life. Loves to be petted and will pat you on the arm if you stop too soon. Likes attention, but a little reserved around the other cats. For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Cats.htm
THOR - is a wonderful 4 year DLH white male with black tail and ear who is blind. He doesn't let his disability get the best of him, and sometimes you would never know he can't see. It's amazing how well he adapts to a new environment and finds his way around. He does well with other cats, dogs and kids. Would love to be that special someone in your household, someone he could curl up with. For more info please visit: http://www.kittyandk-9connection.org/Cats.htm
